The Texas soul singer finished in the top eight and was one of Pharrell Williams’ understudies. The Dublin-born soul singer, who grew up in Texas, never let any of his ailments -- from being blind in one eye, to overcoming temporary brain damage -- stand in the way of making his dreams come true. In fact, it was having this unusual perspective on life that made Wade the singer/songwriter he is today.
The release of his new album "The River" is a culmination of his story. Special guest is Greg Oliveras, a Wilton, Conn. native, who is a pop-rock composer, performer and recording artist whose new release is entitled "Envision a World," EP now available now via SoundCloud. Each ticket holder gets a complimentary glass of wine or beer in the lobby beginning at 6:45 p.m. for a mix and mingle before the show.

This event is part of the Emerging Artist Series and Doyle Coffin Architecture Singer/Songwriter Series, with media sponsor 98Q. Wade’s music is described as honest lyrics wrapped in infectious melodies sung with just enough power and delicacy to put the audience inside the message of each song. Imagine Ray LaMontagne with the showmanship of Bruce Springsteen and a band with musicianship the likes of Dave Matthews'.
