Voice Actor To Give Dramatic Reading Of Hemingway Story In Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Voice actor Alan Sklar will give a dramatic live reading of Ernest Hemingway’s short story, “The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber,” on Thursday, Feb. 18, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Ridgefield Library.

The story was first published in the September 1936 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, and has been called one of Hemingway's greatest works.

Sklar, a freelance voice actor for over 20 years, has voiced radio and TV commercials, narrated over 200 audio books and worked on thousands of corporate video projects.

Registration for the reading is required.
