'Streetcar Named Desire' Screens Live In HD At Ridgefield Playhouse

RIDGEFEILD, Conn. – The Young Vic Theater’s new production of “A Streetcar Named Desire” will be broadcast from London to The Ridgefield Playhouse live in high definition at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16.

The new production stars Gillian Anderson of “The X-Files” as Blanche DuBois, Ben Foster of “Lone Survivor” as Stanley, and Vanessa Kirby of BBC’s “Great Expectations “as Stella. 

On the night of the screening, Bernard’s at 20 West Lane will offer a special prix-fixe menu or a free glass of wine with dinner when tickets are presented starting at 5 p.m. Reservations are suggested.

According to a press release, “A Streetcar Named Desire” is the fastest selling show in the Young Vic’s history.
