RIDGEFIELD, Conn. — The winner of the inaugural season of NBC's "The Voice," will be displaying that voice in Ridgefield on Thursday.
The Stratford native will take the stage at the Ridgefield Playhouse, on April 28 at 8 p.m. as part of the Pepsi Rock Series.
Tennessee singer/songwriter Ernie Halter, whose song, "Come Home To Me," was covered by Justin Bieber, will begin the show as Colon's opening act.
Colon, the son of a Dominican father and a Puerto Rican mother, will be showing off his fourth studio album, "Gravity," in which he wrote or co-wrote all but three songs.
"I'm grateful to The Voice for allowing me to be myself in front of tens of millions of people," Colon said. "It was the greatest thing that could have happened to me, and the experience gave me the confidence to fight to be my real self musically."
Tickets are priced at $38 and available on the Ridgefield Playhouse website or by calling the box office at 203-438-5795.
The Ridgefield Playhouse is located at 80 E. Ridge Road.
