Joyce DiDonato and Juan Diego Flórez star in "Donna del Lago" at noon Sunday, broadcast to the big screen in HD from New York’s Metropolitan Opera.

On Saturday, March 21, at 6 p.m., a new HD series from Moscow’s Bolshoi Ballet debuts with "Swan Lake." The Bolshoi's Ballet will dance in Moscow to Tchaikovsky’s famous, lyrical score. This universal and enchanting story of love, deception and drama is a must to experience.

Bernard’s at 20 West Lane in Ridgefield is offering a $45 prix-fixe menu the nights of these events; reservations are suggested.

In the Met premiere of "La Donna del Lago," bel canto superstars Joyce DiDonato and Juan Diego Flórez join forces for this showcase of vocal virtuosity, set in the medieval Scottish highlands and based on a beloved novel by Sir Walter Scott.

DiDonato is the “lady of the lake” in the opera’s title, and Flórez is the king who relentlessly pursues her. Together, their vocal fireworks embellish the romantic plot in this production conducted by Michele Mariotti.

Svetlana Zakharova, Denis Rodkin and Artemy Belyakov star in the lead roles in "Swan Lake," which depicts the tragic love between Princess Odette and Prince Siegfried. Founded in 1776, the legendary Bolshoi Ballet is one of the most celebrated ballet companies in the world.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and $15 for students by calling the box office, free for students 18 and under by showing ID at box office.
