Ridgefield Playhouse Presents ‘The Great Gatsby’ Film Event

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – To conclude the celebration of The Big Read, The Ridgefield Playhouse is showing the two most recent film versions of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic 1925 novel, “The Great Gatsby” on Sunday, Nov. 23.

The 1974 version starring Robert Redford and Mia Farrow will be shown at 4 p.m., followed by a 7:30 p.m. showing of the 2013 version starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan.

The book was selected by The Ridgefield Playhouse, in partnership with Ridgefield Library, for the town-wide participation in The Big Read.

To start the evening off, Piccolo's Pizza & Pasta Jazzeria will seve a complimentary glass of wine with dinner the night of this show when ticket is presented, and Bernard’s will offer a special $45 prix-fixe menu or a free glass of wine with dinner, when tickets are presented; reservations suggested.
