RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The Ridgefield Playhouse is thanking the greater Ridgefield community for its support with a free Shakespeare on the Green and Green Expo.
The “How to Live Green” Fair presented by Bank of America runs from noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 9 at the Ridgefield Playhouse, 80 E. Ridge Road. The Playhouse will present “The Tempest” under a tent for a seated audience at 2 p.m. on the green at the Ridgefield Playhouse.
The Green Expo aims to make environmental issues educational, as well as entertaining. Experts will explain how to implement sustainably in workplace practices, how to run green homes, and making everyday choices that are good for people and the environment.
“The Ridgefield Playhouse has helped spread cultural awareness in Connecticut for over 15 years,” said Bill Tommins, Southern Connecticut market president for Bank of America, in a statement. “Each year, these events help bring the community together and provide entertainment for local families.”
Tickets are free, but are limited to five per family and must be reserved in advance by calling the Ridgefield Playhouse box office at 203-438-5795. More information is available online at ridgefieldplayhouse.org .
