Thousands are expected to visit Main Street’s historic Lounsbury House to enjoy barbecue in a carnival-like atmosphere.
“Get ready to enjoy an event even bigger and better than last year,” said Rich Vazzana, festival chairman and president of the Ridgefield Rotary and Lounsbury House.
“It will be an eating extravaganza, with something for every taste and every age.”
There will be plenty of fare besides barbecue available for purchase, including Greek cuisine, fresh lobster rolls, brick oven pizza, a variety of potato dishes, fried pickles, smoothies, and fried desserts.
Carnival rides such as the Ferris wheel and live music and entertainment will be offered.
Festival admission will be $10 for adults and $5 for students. Children under the age of 12 will be admitted free of charge. Parking is also free.
Proceeds will benefit the nonprofit Ridgefield Rotary and Lounsbury House.
Saturday festival hours will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., while Sunday’s operating hours will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
