Ridgefield Exhibit Shows Cass Gilbert As Seen Through A Camera Lens

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- See a selection of photographs of notable Cass Gilbert buildings by Carol M. Highsmith, "America's Photographer," on Sunday Sept. 27, at the Keeler Tavern Museum.

The Carol M. Highsmith Collection at the Library of Congress is featured in the top six collections out of 15 million images in the Library's Prints & Photographs archive.

Highsmith has begun a multi-year project that involves photographing 21st-century America for the Library of Congress, picking up where Lange left off during the WPA project of the 1930s.

As part of this effort, she has photographed many notable Cass Gilbert buildings, including what is now Keeler Tavern Museum.
