RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Around the world, there are many Beatles tributes, but only one note-for-note recreation of Paul McCartney and Wings. The Ridgefield Playhouse and Pepsi Rock Series powered by Xfinity brings "The McCartney Years" to the stage on Sunday, March 13, at 8 p.m.
Note-for-note, harmonies and riffs– every song is played live with nothing pre-recorded and to the standard set by McCartney himself in the early 1970s. Experience three decades of ‘The Beatles’ and ‘Wings’ live – with the world’s premier McCartney concert experience.
Rewind into the 60’s and 70’s to dance, sing and relive your passion for McCartney with a full band that has opened for Mariah Carey, performed sold-out shows across Canada and been featured on CNN.
Yuri Pool performs as Paul McCartney (lead vocals, bass, guitar, piano). Having undergone a complete retooling in the last year, Pool has made The McCartney Years a period-true, technically stunning and sonically explosive show. His work in building "The McCartney Years" has been praised by Beatles promoter Sid Bernstein as “the best on the scene today…”
Pool is true to Sir Paul in his vocal stylings and presentation on tracks like ‘Live and Let Die’, ‘Let it Be’, ‘The Long and Winding Road’ and ‘Jet.’
His commitment to 100 percent live and accurate reproductions of McCartney’s concert experience started way back in his native Holland, continued through his stint as McCartney in one of the bigger travelling Beatles shows in the UK and has set the standard for all who might follow in this significant body of work.
Before you rock out to McCartney’s hits -- visit Southwest Cafe (109 Danbury Road, Ridgefield) for dinner and enjoy a complimentary margarita with your entrée when you show your ticket!
The Ridgefield Playhouse is located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street in Ridgefield.
