Members of the Darien High School Rugby Club represented Connecticut in the Under-19 New England Challenge Cup at the University of Massachusetts last Saturday. They were Chris Brook, J.J. Holmgren, Sam McCarthy, Jared Murphy and Christian Watson.
The Under-19 Connecticut team emerged victorious in the tournament by defeating Massachusetts and Vermont. The recognition of the Blue Wave players was a reflection of the team's success. Darien won its division of the New York Metropolitan League and the Connecticut High School League this spring.
