News Anchor Ira Joe Fisher Teaching Class On Speaking Skills In Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The Ridgefield Playhouse will be giving a class to improve speaking skills, taught by news anchor Ira Joe Fisher.

Classes are from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Tuesdays from Feb. 16 through March 22.

Fisher will give strategies to become a more effective speaker and build self-confidence. 

Fisher is an American broadcaster, poet and educator. He is the winner of two regional Emmys, and he currently presents "Speaking Fearlessly" seminars and teaches at UConn and Mercy College. 

He was the weather reporter for CBS's "The Saturday Early Show," a position he had from 1999 until 2006.
