RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Looking Glass Animal Rescue is having a fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Pet Valu in Ridgefield.
Come out and support Pet Appreciation Month and meet the Looking Glass Animal Rescue team.
The organization will have a raffle, as well as be selling T-shirts, bandanas, pet portraits andnut-free baked goods by Nataly from Neat Sweets.
All proceeds from the fundraiser will directly benefit the rescue and their dogs.
Since the rescue's launch in December, the team, comprised entirely of volunteers, has pulled 33 dogs from shelters within the tri-state area (the rescue is an official New Hope Partner).
Looking Glass Animal Rescue is a nonprofit, volunteer-based animal welfare organization that rescues dogs from high-kill shelters, hoarding situations, puppy mills, animal fighting rings and more.
While they welcome all animals in need, they specifically focus on animals that are often overlooked due to age, breed, special need, illness or injury and frequently requiring immediate, often costly medical attention that shelters are unable to provide.
Without a rescue outlet, these animals would otherwise be euthanized due to their issues. To learn more and/or to inquire about their dogs, please e-mail the team at Adopt@LGARinc.org.
Those who are unable to make the event can make a tax-deductible donation to the rescue by clicking here . For more information, call (914) 912-9027.
Pet Value is at 125 Danbury Road, Ridgefield.
