Souther co-wrote some of the biggest hits for the Eagles, including "Best of My Love," "Victim of Love," and "New Kid in Town." Linda Ronstadt also recorded ten of his songs, including "Faithless Love," "Simple Man, Simple Dream," and "Prisoner in Disguise." If you’re a fan of the TV show "Nashville," you know him for his role as Watty White.

On his latest album, "Tenderness," released May 2015, Souther balances his pop and jazz sensibilities paying particular homage to his earliest influences, the geniuses of the 20th Century Great American Songbook, while maintaining the signature qualities that have made him one of the true contemporary giants of American song.

His songs have appeared on more than 150 million records worldwide, recorded by Hugh Masekela, Bonnie Raitt, Glen Campbell, Najma Akhtar, George Strait, India Arie, Trisha Yearwood, Bernadette Peters, Crosby, Stills & Nash, among others.

Souther has received countless Grammy nominations, in addition to Academy of Country Music Awards, American Music Awards, 21 ASCAP performance awards, and the prestigious ASCAP Golden Note Award in 2009. In 2013, Souther was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
