The Doors' Robby Krieger To Play Ridgefield Playhouse

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Robby Krieger, The Doors' original guitarist, will perform at the Ridgefield Playhouse on Wednesday, April 8, at 8 p.m.

Krieger co-wrote hits such as "Love Her Madly," "Light My Fire," "Touch Me" and "Love Me Two Times," and was named one of Rolling Stone's 100 all-time greatest guitarists. He also performed with Daryl Hall, Blue Öyster Cult and The Black Crowes' Rich Robinson.

At Ridgefield Playhouse, Krieger will perform The Doors' biggest hits and other rock classics from the '60s and '70s in celebration of the band's 50th anniversary. Also appearing at the show is his son, guitarist and vocalist Waylon Krieger.

Tickets are available for $80 at the Ridgefield Playhouse box office or by phone at 203-438-5795. For an additional $25 per person, AllShows.com is offering a VIP Party Pass that includes priority parking and a cocktail party with open bar and hors d'oeuvres from 6:30-7:15 p.m.

Attendees can present their ticket when dining at Southwest Café on concert night for a complimentary margarita.

The concert is Krieger's only Connecticut show and is part of the Xfinity Rock Series and sponsored by WPLR Chaz & AJ on 99.1FM.
