RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Ridgefield Parks and Recreation Center will host the PAWS for the CAUSE festival on Sunday, Oct. 16, rain or shine.

The festival is for dogs, their owners and everyone of all ages; it will benefit Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue (ROAR).

The event will include live music, food, beer, wine and vendors. It will also feature the doggie fun zone where the dog is the star in this action-packed agility course

Additionally, paw painting will provide attendees the opportunity to receive a one-of-a-kind masterpiece created by their dogs.

Children's activities will include face painting, art class, flower crowns and beyond fun and games.

Tickets are $15 per person and $25 for family. Click here to purchase tickets online.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair as well as a camera to capture all the doggie fun.

ROAR was founded on the simple principle that it would provide animals in need with the same love, care and compassion that people provide their own family pets.

Since ROAR opened its doors in 2005,  it has placed almost 4,500 neglected and unwanted cats and dogs in caring homes throughout Ridgefield and its surrounding towns.

The festival will be from noon - 4 p.m.

Ridgefield Parks and Recreation Center is at 195 Danbury Road, Ridgefield.
