Community To Roast And Toast Retiring Ridgefield Library Director

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. — Chris Nolan will be the guest of honor Wednesday evening as friends and colleagues gather for a roast and toast of the retiring director of the Ridgefield Library.

The event, hosted by Christine O’Leary, will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Ridgefield Playhouse. Libations and light refreshments will be served. The presentation will begin at 7:30 p.m. 

Organizers said "an extraordinarily fun-filled evening of laughs and appreciation" is planned to honor Nolan for her 16 years of dedicated service to the Ridgefield Library and the community. 

Family, friends and community members will roast Nolan in honor of her retirement. 

"We hope everyone in the community can join us for this wonderful celebration," organizers said.

in January, Nolan announced her intention to retire after a 16-year career at the Ridgefield Library.

Nolan, who was named the Ridgefield Rotary Citizen of the Year for 2015, played an important role in the libray's expansion project from 2012 to 2014.

She has also been involved with community groups such as the Rotary, the Chamber of Commerce and the League of Women Voters.
