RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Whitney Cummings, a comedian, actor, writer, producer and arguably one of the funniest women doing stand-up today, will bring laughs to The Ridgefield Playhouse at 8 p.m. Friday.
This show is for audiences 18 and older. Special guest is Matt Fulchrion, a TV comedian who has had his own special on "Comedy Central Presents" and has appeared on "The Late Late Show" with Craig Ferguson, "Last Comic Standing," "Tosh.O." and many other shows.
Bissell House (378 Main St., Ridgefield) will pour a free glass of house wine or draft beer with dinner the night of this show when tickets/stubs are presented. This event is part of the Clark Construction Comedy Series with media sponsor Star 99.9-FM.
Cummings wrote, produced and starred in her autobiographical sitcom "Whitney," which aired on NBC for two seasons, 2011-13, and she appears regularly on E!’s "Chelsea Lately" as well as on Comedy Central’s "Roasts." Her one-hour stand-up special, "Money Shot," premiered on Comedy Central in 2010 and was nominated for an American Comedy Award.
Most recently, Cummings appeared in the summer tour Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival, co-headlining with Sarah Silverman, Amy Schumer, Aziz Ansari, Louis C.K. and others. Her second one-hour stand-up special, "Whitney Cummings: I Love You," debuted on Comedy Central in June 2014, covering everything from gender differences to sexism, human sexuality and relationships.
