"We would like to thank everyone for coming in over the past seven years and making Greenwood's an enjoyable place to be. Thank you for taking a part of your day and spending it with us. From all the staff past and present thank you," they posted on the restaurant's Facebook page.

The restaurant's website carries a splash page, saying, "We thank you all for great times and hope you can make it by to raise one more pint with us before we go. Cheers!"

The restaurant, which featured 19 beers on draught and comfort foods, opened under their ownership on May 25, 2010.

It is located in the Bethel Opera House, which was built in 1860 by Augustus A. Fisher and is a landmark in the center of town.
