Pour Me Coffee & Wine Cafe is the creation of downtown entrepreneur Andrea Gartner, former executive director of CityCenter Danbury.

Pour Me features grab-and-go in the morning, quick-serve lunches, and becomes a full-service neighborhood bistro by night — and it pours beverages from coffee and tea to wine.

"Pour Me Coffee & Wine Cafe will provide best-ingredient food and drink to fuel and fortify people to do their good in the world," said Gartner.

Her motto, "Consume & Conquer," hangs above the Main Street storefront.

The fun on Friday will begin early with a live broadcast of the i95 Rocks morning show with Ethan and Lou from 6 to 10 a.m. From 10 to noon, there will be special tastings from Danbury's Cross Culture Kombucha.

All day there will be free samples of coffee, tea and kombucha. And takeout orders will get free tote bags — while supplies last. (Click through the photos above for a full listing of specials.)

"We know what it's like to be busy and wanted a way to celebrate with people who might not have the time to come in and sit down," Pour Me said of the tote bag offer.

But if you do sit down, you can enjoy the interior, which is decorated with the word "welcome" in every language spoken in the city.

Its hours are:

  • 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays,
  • 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays,
  • 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturdays and
  • 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

The establishment, which will offer breakfast burritos, paninis, poutines, personal pizzas, salads, gluten-free smoothies, vegan choices, and a kids menu, will also offer full dinner service after 5 p.m.

Matt Rieve, formerly of Figs Wood Fire Bistro in Sandy Hook, is on board as kitchen manager/chef.
