Deep Discounts As Radio Shack Closes Doors In Westport, Wilton

WESTPORT/WILTON, Conn. — Looking for a bargain on a phone charger or maybe an HDMI cord converter? All the items are on sale at the Radio Shack stores in Westport and Wilton, which will be closing their doors as part of the company's bankruptcy plans.

The Westport store is located at 877 Post Road E., near the intersection with the Sherwood Island Connector.

The Wilton store is located in the Gateway Shopping Center at 14 Danbury Road, near the Norwalk border.

Radio Shack filed for bankruptcy under Chapter 11 and is planning to close a third of its stores nationwide.

But the company's loss can be the consumer's gain. The signs say "the entire store is on sale," with deep discounts of up to 80 percent on the remaining electronic goods.

The fixtures, furniture and equipment are all for sale, too.

Radio Shack recently closed stores in Danbury and Fairfield.
